Do you believe in unicorns

Do you believe in unicorns?
Or do you think they’re simply a beautiful, enchanting fantasy — alive in fairy tales and the vivid imaginations of children?
Once upon a time, I too would have dismissed them as wishful thinking. But not anymore.
The moment I stepped onto the spiritual path, they appeared — and they’ve remained with me ever since.
Today, on National Unicorn Day, I’m taking a moment to honour and thank the unicorns who have guided and supported me.
A unicorn caught me off guard on Saturday as I meditated in the garden. I had been asking my Reiki guide to make an appearance when a beautiful white unicorn appeared, giving his name as Elreidon.
My initial surprise was gently brushed aside as he explained: unicorns are ascended horses. And since my soul had merged with Tiffany’s the night before she transitioned, why would it be surprising for a unicorn to be my guide? After all, my soul mission is to help horses be better understood.
He also shared something else: my attunement to Seichem Reiki has deepened my connection to the elementals.
Put like that, it felt like the most natural thing in the world to have a unicorn as a guide.
The advice he gave me came at the perfect time. With a talk on my book (A Horse's Voice) coming up, he reminded me to keep my heart chakra open and align with pure, divine love. In doing so, there would be no entry point for fear.
The human part of me still longed for validation that this was a real connection. So I asked for a sign. I told him I’d be popping into the Co-op in the village, and by the time I returned, I wanted to see either the image of a unicorn or the word “unicorn.”
Elreidon gave me instructions:
“This sign isn’t just going to magically appear. You’ll need to stay vigilant and keep your eyes peeled.”
Did it appear? Don’t even doubt it!
As I walked back through the High Street, I suddenly felt drawn to a craft shop window. And there it was — unicorn craft sets, complete with a picture and the word Unicorn. My heart soared!
The next day, during a retreat, Elreidon appeared again in meditation. Coincidentally (or not), I was seated next to the white horse card — the closest thing to a unicorn in the deck — and I drew the Sacred Heart card, reminding me once again to stay in love and in my heart space.
The following day, a vivid blue rainbow appeared in a photo of my garden — a sign, I believe, that Elreidon was helping to keep my throat chakra open ahead of my talk.

And when the day of the talk arrived, I went deep into the soulful nature of horses. The messages that came through were powerful (I’ll be sharing more in a Substack post soon!). I followed Elreidon’s advice, stayed centred in my heart, and let the love of horses override any fear of being on camera.
It went beautifully. The conversations that followed were inspiring. So many people are awakening to the deep, spiritual essence of our horses — and that is truly something to celebrate.
And this morning? The first thing I saw when I opened my laptop was a picture of a unicorn — from the same Council of Horses Oracle deck I’d used the day before. Just wow!
Thank you, unicorns, for giving me the confidence and love to speak up and stand in my truth. You truly support those with a mission beyond themselves.
This is soooo lovely and eye-opening! I love how you're open to the unicorn energy and still wanted validation - which you received!! <3 My energy has lifted and amplified just reading about your unicorn visit; and I can feel myself opening to the possibility of visiting with a Unicorn myself. <3 You write so beautifully! <3 😍
