Opening your mind to Animal Communication

“I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief”

Gerry Spence

I will always remember a conversation in the office when I just shrank into my chair, hoping and praying that they wouldn’t ask for my opinion. Those were the days when I was afraid to speak my truth.

A few of the girls in the office were talking about Animal Communication, and they were laughing at the idea that people were stupid enough to believe in such rubbish, let alone practice it.

At the time, I was carrying out readings for family and friends, but very much undercover. I was definitely not ready to come out!

There is no blame directed at people who think this way. After all, there was a time when I too was influenced and conditioned by mainstream thinking. Also, I understand why people cling to their beliefs, as this is their comfort blanket and their security. Acknowledging that there is more to life than what we experience through our five senses, can be akin to standing on the edge of a cliff, fearing that fall into the unknown. It is scary!

But the unknown doesn’t have to be scary. We are no longer primitive man who could be eaten alive by a predator as a result of wandering into unfamiliar territory. Even so, those ancient parts of our brain are still trying to control us.

Clinging on to old ways of thinking and old beliefs does not serve us. The only way we can progress and evolve is by stepping into new paradigms and possibilities. The alternative; we remain static. Or worse; we self-destruct.

When people ridicule things that they don’t understand, they are most likely doing so from a place of fear. But the undeniable truth is that we are discovering new truths and ideas every single day. It is said that scientific books get torn up every 100 years because of new thinking.

I like to remind people that if someone from 200 years ago, time travelled into our world today, they would be absolutely freaked out. Just imagine it! They suddenly appear as a passenger in a car. “Oh my god” they would scream “I have been captured by a metallic monster and it is running away with me.” Suddenly the radio is turned on and the loud voice of a man fills the car. To them it would be like a spirit has entered the car and is talking to them. They would be lucky to survive!

So this is the thing. In very short spaces of time, the world changes massively because of new discoveries. And this is accelerating at a much faster pace than ever before, because now as a world we are way more connected than we have ever been.

Just because there are things we don’t understand, it doesn’t mean that they aren’t real. All it means is that we haven’t discovered the answers yet, although quantum science with its increasing evidence of entanglement, unification and a field of higher consciousness, is bringing those answers ever closer.

Maybe if we were to fast forward 100 years, we will find that children are being taught things that will really benefit them and the natural world ie. spiritual wisdom, energy teachings and animal communication to name but a few. If not, then there may be no Earth left to experience, as our destructive, competitive, materialistic urges will not have been brought under control by a more evolved consciousness.

Maybe it is because I am an optimist, but I do believe that 100 years from now animal communication and energy healing will be common practices. Now that would be a world in which I would be happy to return to.
